Janos Groh is a is a lecturer of “Experimental Neurology” at the Medical Faculty of the Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg and a senior research associate at the Institute of Neuronal Cell Biology of the Technical University of Munich. He obtained his PhD in Biology at the University of Würzburg in 2013 and joined the Technical University of Munich as a principal investigator in 2023.
His research focusses on inflammatory processes that are induced by the dysfunction of myelinating glial cells in the nervous system. Using murine models and patient-derived human material he aims at a better understanding of how interactions between neural and immune cells contribute to structural and functional changes in disease and aging.
